The 19th annual Southern Tennis Escape 2012 Tournament will be held March 9-11, 2012, at the beautiful Kiawah Island Resort, Kiawah Island, SC. Open to all skill levels, the tournament format is doubles - women's, men's and mixed, and players may enter up to two events.
Open to all skill levels, the tournament format will be doubles and mixed doubles. Players may enter up to two events. If any one level does not have enough participants to make a draw, it may be moved to the next highest level OR a singles draw may be created. You are guaranteed a minimum of two matches in each event.
We will be collecting used rackets, tennis bags, and ball hoppers for USTA's inner-city tennis program (Atlanta Youth Tennis Foundation: a non-profit organization whose mission is to "promote the physical and mental development of underserved youth through tennis and education.) Please start holding on to your old rackets, tennis bags, and ball hoppers and bring them to the tournament.
Update: We do have some openings for late entries for the following:
- Women's Doubles: 8.5, 9.0
- Men's Doubles: 6.5, 7.0, 8.0
- Mixed Doubles: 7.0, 8.5
We are in the process of pairing you up (no guarantees) if you entered without a parnter. We are no longer accepting any partner requests. Draws will be posted in the next couple of weeks.
